Day 1 (Sat) – Istanbul (D)
Arrival to Istanbul airport. You will be met and transferred to your hotel by Orion staff or guide.Welcome drink and get together for a briefing in the evening at the hotel.
Day 2 (Sun) – Istanbul / Canakkale (Gallipoli) (B,L,D)
After an early breakfast, we will begin our scenic drive down to Gallipoli, historically famous for being the site of many battles during WW1. Following a lunch break, we will visit Anzac Cove, Ceremonial Ground, Lone Pine and some shelters and tunnels before we cross the second strategic waterway, the Dardanelles, and land in Asia and proceed to our hotel in Canakkale for the evening.
Day 3 (Mon) – Canakkale / Kusadasi via Troy & Pergamon (B,L,D)
We drive to Troy., referred to in Homer’s “Iliad” and “Odyssey”, Troy has in fact nine cities superimposed one upon another. Troy Vl pertains to the famous Trojan War of Homer where the legendary heroes included Agamemnon, Achilles, Ulysses and Nestor on the Greek side; and, Priam, Hector and Paris on the Trojan side. Continuing on our journey we will stop by the hauntingly beautiful Pergamon. Among the impressive structures of this city, dating from 3rd BC, we will see the Altar of Zeus, Temples of Dionysus and Trajan and the 200,000 volume library which was surpassed only by that found in Alexandria at the time.
The Asclepieum of Pergamon was a famous health center where methods of treatment included blood transfusions, music therapy and meditation. Leaving Pergamon behind us we settle at our hotel.
Day 4 (Tue) – Kusadasi (B,L,D)
Following an early breakfast we will proceed and arrive at the ancient city of Ephesus. Ephesus was undoubtedly one of the most important cultural centers of the ancient world. Impressive structures we will see include the Library of Celsus, Temple of Hadrian, Theater and Odeon. We will also stop by at the Temple of Artemis which was one of the Seven Wonders of the antiquity. Close by is the House of the Virgin Mary where she is believed to have spent her last years. On August 18, 1961, Pope John XXll proclaimed the House of Virgin Mary at Ephesus to be sacred. Pope Benedict XVI paid a visit and led a Mass at the church in November 2007. You will have a chance to take some of Holy Water from the Sacred Spring. Last stop will be the local archaeological museum displaying artifacts from the ancient site.
Day 5 (Wed) – Kusadasi / Marmaris (B,L,D)
All passengers betweeen 11:00am-12:00pm must come to the meeting point in front of Marmaris Turizm İnformation Office.Till 13:00 pm passengers will have time to spend in Marmaris.Maybe to explore the busy Market of Marmaris for the best bargains.After all the port formalities are completed we are ready to sail.Prepare your skin for a lasting tan.First stop will be Kumlubük or Kadırga Bay at these small peaceful bays we will have swimming break,dinner and spend the night here.
Day 6 (Thu) – Gobun and Tersane Adasi (Shipyard Island) (B,L,D)
We will get moving early in the morning,next stop will be Göbün Bay here passenger will have breakfast and a short swimming break.After a short journey we will arrive to the Göcek Bays,like a said many bays you will stop short periods of time at each one.After a exhausting day you will arrive to the ancient Roman and Ottoman Tersane Adası(Shipyard Island) passengers will have dinner and spend the night here.
Day 7 (Fri) – Gocek Bayis-Dis Gobun and Turunc Pinari (B,L,D)
On the third day of our journey we will continue wıth Göcek Bays however,we will not visit the same places.First stop will be Dış Göbün Bay after breakfast we will have swimming break in this small bay later,we will stop at the Turunç Pınarı Bay while enjoying the sea and the sun we will have lunch.Here is a peaceful and very beautiful Bay,passengers will have dinner and spend the night here.
Day 8 (Sat) – Fethiye / Pamukkale (B,L,D)
After breakfast and a short journey we will arrive in Fethiye at around 09:30-10:00am. Then continue to Pamukkale. You will tour the Antique City of Hierapolis where Calcareous hot springs descending over cliffs have created fascinating travertines in the form of white terrace and basins. After a picture break, dinner and overnight at hotel in Pamukkale.
Day 9 (Sun) – Pamukkale / Konya (B,L,D)
Following an early breakfast we will drive through an interesting landscape where peasants make their living, to have lunch enroute before arriving in Konya. Konya was the center of the Selcuk Empire as well as the city of Mevlana and his Whirling Dervishes. After visiting the Mevlana Museum, check-in the hotel.
Day 10 (Mon) – Konya / Cappadocia (B,L,D)
We will continue to Cappadocia viewing the Sultanhani Caravanserai enroute. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia.
Day 11 (Tue) – Cappadocia (B,L,D)
Today we visit the incredible Underground City of Kaymakli where early Christians lived secretly in order to survive and keep their faith. Picture stops will be given at the Valley of the Birds and at the foot of the Uchisar Castle. Afterwards Then proceed to the Goreme Valley to visit the rock carved churches hollowed out of volcanic ash. Lunch will be at Avanos Village followed by the famous local pottery and carpet shows allowing ample time for shopping in the afternoon. Also time will be allocated for the local souvenir shopping before driving back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Cappadocia.
Day 12 (Wed) – Cappadocia / Kayseri / Istanbul (B,L,D)
Transfer to Kayseri airport to catch a flight to Istanbul. Transfer to Istanbul Hotel. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 13 (Thu) – Istanbul (B,L,D)
Following breakfast, we drive to the ‘Old City’ where we visit the Hippodrome, the Blue Mosque, famous for its delicate blue ceramic tiles and Haghia Sophia. This church – turned mosque – turned museum takes the breath away with the sheer architectural size of its interior and magnificent dome. Next we visit the spectacular Topkapi Palace that was built on one of the seven hills of Istanbul, this huge complex commands views of the Sea of Marmara, the Bosphorus and the Golden Horn. It was the seat of government for the Ottoman Empire for many centuries (1453-1852). We see the extravagant Treasury and more. The last stop will be Grand Bazaar which is amongst attractive shopping centers and the biggest “souk” in the world with nearly 4000 shops of antiques, gold, jewelry, carpets and leatherwear. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 14 (Fri) – Istanbul
Transfer to Istanbul airport.
